The Albright College women's basketball team travels to Lycoming with its season on the line, needing a win to stay alive in the Commonwealth Conference playoff race.

Commonwealth Playoff Picture

Albright and Lycoming (7-9) are tied for the fifth and final playoff spot, with the rest of the league's challengers now eliminated from contention. Lycoming will clinch the spot with a win tonight, since it would hold a 2-0 head-to-head record vs. Albright under that scenario. If the Lions win tonight, they still need either a win vs. Elizabethtown or a Lycoming loss to Hood on Saturday, since Lycoming currently holds the next tie-breaker of highest-ranked Commonwealth team beaten (Lyco beat fourth-place Etown 70-62 earlier this season, and neither team has a win against the top three of Messiah, Widener or Lebanon Valley).

Harris Earns National Honor

Freshman Kelecia Harris was named to the D3hoops.com National Team of the Week after two scintillating performances vs. Maryland opponents.

Harris averaged 26 points, 18.5 rebounds and five blocks per game as the Lions won twice to move into a tie for the final Commonwealth playoff spot. The freshman's 26 points (twice) were the most by an Albright player since 2009. She totaled 26 points and 20 rebounds in a win over Hood, with the rebound total ranking as the sixth-highest single game total in Albright history. Harris went on to just miss a triple-double with 26 points, 17 rebounds and eight blocks (a career-high) as Albright beat Stevenson 75-70 this weekend.

Albright College Lions (11-12, 7-9 Commonwealth)

Kari Ludy had a big game in her final career home contest, with 16 points, eight rebounds and two steals on Senior Day vs. Stevenson. Junior Meghan Boyle added 12 points and six rebounds.

Ludy is averaging 6.8 ppg, with 29 steals on the season. Boyle adds 9.1 points and 6.5 rebounds per contest, while freshman guard Tara Sabotchick is averaging 9.2 ppg with 61 assists.

Lycoming College Warriors (7-15, 7-9 Commonwealth)

The Warriors will celebrate Senior Day for two departing student-athletes tonight. Guard Rachel Scheller is averaging 6.6 ppg, and leads the Commonwealth with 3.2 steals per contest; guard Leeann Randall is averaging 8.0 minutes over 13 appearances this season.

Scheller is now second in Lycoming history with 224 career steals. Junior forward Julia Antonelli (11.5 ppg, 8.8 rpg) has 499 career rebounds heading into this game.

Previous Meeting

Neither team led by more than two points over the final 5:54 as Lycoming claimed a crucial 54-52 decision in the Bollman Center. Freshman Emily O'Donnell got into the lane and dropped in a layup for what would end up being the final points for Albright as they briefly reclaimed a 52-50 the lead. However, Albright could not stop Lycoming's leading scorer on the night, Antonelli, as she drove past two Lion defenders to the basket for the game-winning score in the final minute.

On the night, Albright was led by Harris. The freshman dropped 22 points while pulling down 13 rebounds for the double-double. She also added five blocked shots. Sophomore Jessica Venturelli chipped in with 11 points.
