The Albright College volleyball team closed out play at the DeSales Invitational Saturday, losing to Muhlenberg and Cabrini.
The Lions were beaten in straight sets in their morning match, losing to Muhlenberg 3-0 (25-15, 25-17, 25-13).
Senior
Morgan Heath had a pair of kills, 16 assists and five digs. Junior
Brandy Blimline led the team with five kills, and classmate
Kyrsten Stanford added four.
Albright went down 9-2 in the first set. The Lions came closest in the second set, cutting a nine-point deficit to five before the Mules made a clinching run.
The Lions lost their final match of the tournament, 3-0 to Cabrini.
Blimline had four blocks, while
Caitlin Klotzbach,
Jordan Gibson,
Maddy Greth and
Christa Mantz all contributed in the back row.
Albright had a close call in the final set, ultimately losing by a 25-23 scoreline.
The Red and White stand at 0-4 overall, and will travel to Elizabethtown on Wednesday night for the first day of Commonwealth Conference play.
