Albright concludes a five-game homestand with a Commonwealth Conference matchup against a hot Stevenson University team.

Previous Meeting

Freshman Christian Roberts had a massive day for Stevenson, scoring 33 points and making 7-of-13 three-pointers to spoil Albright's Senior Day last February.

With Albright threatening to pull away, Roberts sank three straight treys over a four-possession span to cut the gap to 56-55. He then converted a three-point play with 18 seconds left to give Stevenson an 82-81 win.

Dave Singleton had 14 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists, and could have had a triple-double in the final seconds, but his pass to Pedro Perez resulted in a block by Stevenson's Stefon McCray. On his Senior Day, center Zach Benjamin had 15 points and nine boards. Albright's final senior, Cornell Mickens, had five points.

Albright College Lions (6-5, 2-2)

Albright has won three straight to move over .500 for the first time this season. The Lions defeated Eastern 87-79 on Saturday, improving their overall record to 6-5.

Senior Kyle Jordan made 7-of-9 shots for 17 points, while freshman Sameen Swint was also in double-figures with 10 points. Sophomore Calvert Gantz chipped in with eight points, seven boards and a game-high five blocks.

Perez has been on fire recently, earning Commonwealth Player of the Week and D3hoops.com national Team of the Week recognition. He is averaging 23.3 ppg over the last four contests, scoring at least 19 points in all four games, and has added double-digit rebounds twice.

Stevenson University Mustangs (9-2, 4-0)

The Mustangs made the Commonwealth playoffs last season with a young team, losing to Arcadia in the play-in game. Stevenson returns two All-Conference players but has also reloaded and is 9-2 this year with a number of transfers contributing big minutes.

6-foot-7 Justin Kuntz joins after previously playing at two Community Colleges, and is averaging 12.1 ppg and 9.4 rpg. 6-foot-5 Erik Fisher transferred from Division II Wheeling Jesuit and has contributed 10.1 ppg and 4.7 rpg. Junior guard Colby Giacubeno is averaging averaging 8.9 ppg and shooting a team-best 91.3% from the free throw line after previously playing for Goucher and Harford Community College.

They join Roberts, who was the Commonwealth Rookie of the Year and had a big day against Albright in the Bollman Center last season, and senior McCray, who was an honorable mention All-Commonwealth choice in 2012-13.

The Mustangs' only two losses have both been by one point, and they have beaten defending Commonwealth champion Alvernia and NCAA Elite Eight participant Middlebury.

Series

Stevenson is in its second season as a member of the Commonwealth Conference, and holds a 3-1 all-time mark against Albright.
