After having a five-game win streak broken on Monday, the Albright College women's basketball team faces an important Commonwealth game against Stevenson University.

Previous Meeting

Kelecia Harris had a monster stat line as the Lions earned a 75-70 Senior Day victory over Stevenson last February.

Harris had a double-double by halftime, with 16 points and 11 rebounds. That included a pair of three-point plays late in the half. She finished with 26 points, 17 rebounds, and a career-high eight blocks, after putting up 26 points and 20 rebounds vs. Hood several days earlier. She would earn her first career national Team of the Week honor from D3hoops.com following that performance.

Series

With Stevenson joining the Commonwealth Conference last season the two schools faced off for the first time, splitting a pair of regular season meetings.

Albright did win a tournament in Owings Mills in 2006-07, back when Stevenson was known as Villa Julie College. The Lions did not face the hosts, beating Shenandoah and Juniata.

Albright Lions (7-3, 2-2)

The Lions saw a five-game win streak end in a tight 65-59 loss to Messiah on Monday in the Bollman Center. Sophomore Emily O'Donnell had another good shooting night, totaling a game-high 18 points on 8-of-12 shooting. Senior Meghan Boyle had 13 points, and freshman Shannon Thomas totaled six assists.

Albright needs to find a way to keep Harris on the floor, as the sophomore fouled out after playing just five minutes in the second half. The Lions held a one-point lead in the final four minutes, but ran out of steam late. Harris leads the Lions in points (15.7 ppg), rebounds (9.3 rpg) and blocks (25), but is averaging just 23.5 minutes and nearly four fouls per contest.

Stevenson University Mustangs (5-6, 3-1)

Despite holding a losing record overall, the Mustangs are 3-1 in the Commonwealth Conference and would move into a tie for second place with a victory tonight (the final two undefeated teams face each other as Lebanon Valley travels to Elizabethtown).

The Mustangs have improved without any freshmen playing more than 7.5 minutes per game, as Stevenson returns nine of 11 rotation players from 2012-13- including Kayla Kelly and Kyarra Harmon, who have each earned conference Player of the Week honors already this year.
