Junior
Natalie Carlucci doubled in the second game to move to 25 in her career, one short of the program record with a season still to go.
She also homered in game one- a 9-6 Lion victory. She was 3-for-4 in that game, while sophomore
Emily O'Donnell was 2-for-4 with a run scored. Freshman
Jalene Garcia was 2-for-5 and scored twice.
Carlucci's two-run homer in the third inning put Albright in front for good, after
Nicole Bartron had scored to tie the contest at 1-1.
Albright added four runs in the top of the fourth. O'Donell and
Shelby Snyder came home on consecutive errors; Carlucci knocked in Garcia, and
Katie Civitello scored on a wild pitch.
In the fifth inning, Albright racked up five hits, with seniors
Marguerite DeLucas and
Jackie Bohanan scoring for a 9-4 lead. O'Donnell was thrown out at home on Garcia's single.
Albright lost their season finale 8-5. Garcia was 3-for-5 with two runs scored, and Carlucci went 2-for-4 with a pair of RBIs.
The Red and White took a 5-4 lead in the fifth after scoring four times on six hits. Carlucci singled in Snyder, Bohanan knocked in Garcia, and O'Donnell ripped a two-RBI single to take the lead.
The Mustangs rallied with a four-run sixth to take control.
Freshman pitcher
Katie Civitello pitched both games to finish the year with a school-record 25 complete games. Albright finishes the year at 10-19, 5-11.
