CLERMONT, Fla. – The Albright softball team concluded its spring break trip to Florida with a victory over Keene State, 7-4, and a 5-0 loss to Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Camille Sears led the Lions at the plate and in the circle in the victory. She went 2-for-3 with three RBIs while also allowing just one earned run in 4.1 innings of work. She gave up that run in the top of the first inning, but she came back in the bottom half to tie the score.

Nora Harrison sandwiched a walk to
Stephanie Pomante that loaded the bases. Sears singled to left to bring home Courtney to tie the score at 1-1. The Lions took a 2-1 lead in the inning when
Armida Roman grounded out to score Pomante.
Keene State scored a pair of unearned runs in the top of the fourth inning to take a 3-2 lead, but the Lions responded with four runs in the bottom half of the frame.
Brooke Yerger tied the score with a two-out double to bring home
Jessica Rodriguez. She joined Sears with a multi-hit game, going 2-for-4.
After Courtney was hit by a pitch, Pomante singled home Yerger to make it 4-3 Albright. Two batters later, Sears singled with the bases loaded to score two more runs. That set the score at 6-3 Albright.
Albright added a seventh run in the bottom of the fifth inning when Yerger's bunt single scored
Allison Fleming.
Keene State added an unearned run off
Riley Gerenda in the seventh inning to round out the scoring. Gerenda earned the victory in relief, pitching 2.2 innings, allowing just three hits and the one unearned run.
In the second game of the day, Yerger had two more hits but the Lions lost to Wisconsin-Eau Claire, 5-0.
Albright returns to action with its home opener against Messiah on Wednesday. The MAC Commonwealth doubleheader begins at 3 p.m.
