READING, Pa. – Albright head men's basketball coach Rick Ferry announced Wednesday the hiring of DeLascio Dancy as an assistant coach. Dancy '20 joins the staff after completing a four-year career as a member of the Albright men's basketball team from 2016-2020.

"We are thrilled to have Lace continue in the program," Ferry said. "As a player, he was like a coach and we often talked about him becoming a coach.  He will be a good recruiter and player development coach for us."

Dancy appeared in 85 career games for the Albright men's basketball team and started in 65 of them. He finished his Lions career with 442 points, 317 rebounds, 237 assists, and 97 steals. Dancy was a member of the 2017-18 Albright men's basketball team that qualified for the NCAA Tournament, and helped lead the Lions to a pair of MAC Commonwealth championship game appearances. Albright qualified for the MAC Commonwealth Tournament in all four years of Dancy's playing career.

In his final collegiate season of 2019-20, Dancy served as the team captain. Dancy graduated from Albright with a degree in Business Marketing.

In addition to reaching the MAC Commonwealth Tournament for the fourth-straight year, the Lions are coming off an appearance in the ECAC Tournament during the 2019-20 season.
