LIMERICK, Pa. – The Albright Lions Men's Golf team opened its 2021 spring schedule by competing in the Turtle Creek Invitational on Saturday morning, hosted by Arcadia.
The Lions finished third among four teams with a team score of 323 (+35)
In his collegiate debut, first-year
Russell McPaul led the Lions with a card of 79 (+7) on the day as he tied for 9
th. Senior
Pat Lord tied for 11
th after finishing one stroke behind McPaul with a score of 80 (+8). Junior
Justin Lancaster carded an 81 (+9) to finish 13
th in the event, while senior
Mike Waugh finished 15
th with a score of 83 (+11). Senior
Dylan Okonski rounded out the scorers with a card of 87 (+15) to tie for 21st, and sophomore
Nicholas Griffith shot a 104 (+32) in his first collegiate match
York took home the team title with a team score of 297 (+9), and Spartan golfer Nicholas Fiorvante earned the individual title after winning a tiebreaker over Matthew Chalupa with an even (+72) on the day.
Albright will return to action on Monday, March 29
th as they will compete in the Lebanon Valley Invitational starting at 11:15 a.m.
