HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Albright women's soccer team opened up their 2021 regular season on the road at the Haverford Tournament with a 3-0 loss to #9 TCNJ on Saturday afternoon.
Playing their first game in 657 days, Albright will open the 2021 regular season 0-1. The nationally ranked TCNJ will open their 2021 regular season 1-0.
TCNJ's scoring began in the fourth minute of the game to claim an early lead over Albright. TCNJ added two more goals in the eighth and 41
st minute and kept Albright scoreless in the first half. Albright held TCNJ off in the second half by not allowing another goal, bringing the final score to 3-0 in favor of TCNJ.
TCNJ outshot Albright 36-1 and connected 17 shots on goal. First year
Alexis Baez got the lone shot off for Albright. TCNJ also took five corners on the afternoon compared to Albright's two. Despite the loss, first-year goalkeeper
McKenna LeVan made her collegiate debut in net with 12 saves in 90 minutes of action. Senior goalkeeper Alexandra Panasuk received the win for TCNJ after starting and completing 60:25 minutes of play.
Albright returns back to action in the Haverford Tournament tomorrow at 12 p.m. against Arcadia.
