READING, Pa. – After serving as the interim head coach throughout the fall semester, Albright Co-Directors of Athletics
Rick Ferry and
Janice Luck have officially named
Zoe Robertson '18 the new Head Softball Coach.
Robertson, a 2018 graduate of Albright College, received her Bachelor's degree in criminal justice and was a four-year member of the Albright softball team. Throughout her career, Robertson appeared in 99 games and made 59 starts in outfield.
In her first season as part of the Lions coaching staff in 2019, Robertson coached alongside Marguerite DeLucas and helped lead the program to their winningest season since 2002 with 25 wins. In the same season the Lions advanced to the conference post season for the first time since the 2007 season and to the ECAC semifinals for the first time since 2001. Albright also put together a program-record 13-game winning streak and saw five players earn post season MAC Commonwealth accolades in 2019. The Lions were on track to build on the 2019 season in 2020, but their season was shortened due to COVID-19.
In addition to her responsibilities as head coach, Robertson will also serve as an Admissions Counselor for Albright.
