ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Albright softball team has been selected to finish ninth in the MAC Commonwealth preseason poll as voted upon by the league's head coaches and announced by the conference on Tuesday morning.

The Lebanon Valley softball team was tabbed as the preseason favorites receiving six first place votes. York College (Pa.) was selected to finish second receiving two first place votes and Messiah rounds out the top three receiving one first place vote. The three aforementioned teams shared the MAC Commonwealth regular season title in 2022 and Messiah would later go on to win the MAC Commonwealth.
 
The season will commence on February 25 when the Albright softball team will travel to Rutgers-Camden for two games. One game will be played against New Paltz University and the other against Rutgers-Camden.
 
MAC Commonwealth play will get underway on March 18 when Messiah comes to town for a double header. In all, the Lions will play 16 games (eight double headers) against the other MAC Commonwealth member institutions.
