HAVRE de GRACE, Md. – Albright turned in solid scores from all five Lions in action today to finish round one of the "Battle of Bulle Rock" in second place. Round one ended with three of the five Lions in a T5 position or better.

Alvernia University is the host of the two-day tournament. "Battle at Bulle Rock" is being played at Bulle Rock Golf Club in Havre De Grace, Maryland. 6687 was the total yardage of the course today and played to a par of 72. Overall it is a tough PB Dye golf course the Lions played today.
After day one, Albright is in 2
nd place shooting a team score of 302. Christopher Newport leads the field after shooting a 297 as a team in round one. The Lions are 10 shots ahead of third place Penn College after day one.
Today's field featured 11 total teams with six of them being from the MAC Commonwealth, including Albright. The Lions bested each MAC Commonwealth team in the field by more then 25 strokes.
Last year's MAC Commonwealth champion York College finished round one 35 shots behind Albright and in 10
th place. Additionally, Albright is 25 strokes ahead of Alvernia who ends day one in 5th place.
Evan Twyman was fantastic out on the course today and especially on the back nine. Twyman was light outs over his final nine holes playing them at one under par. Twyman's round ended with three birdies in his final fours holes propelling himself into the top five after day one with an overall score of 74.
Jonatan Liljeblad started his round in tremendous fashion playing his first 11 holes at one under par. Liljeblad birdied three holes in that stretch and ended his round with a three over par 75. Liljeblad is T5 with five other golfers in the field.
Federico Cobos Kallmann was one of the five golfers tied with Liljeblad finishing round one in a T5 position. Cobos Kallamann found three birdies out on the course today including two on the back nine. Cobos Kallamann's last five holes were played at even par giving the first-year golfer a tremendous opportunity to climb the individual leaderboard during tomorrow's final round.
Ben Egin started slow but showed poise on the course as Egin often does. The Albright Lion shot a 78 to finish round one T13. Egin played his last 10 holes at just one over par showing grit and determination to climb into the top half of the leaderboard.
Nontaphat Veeratecha rounded out the Lions in action today with a round of 86. Veeratecha birdied the par four 7
th hole marking the only Lion to birdie that hole during today's round.

Albright will look put their best game forward again in tomorrow's final day of the "Battle at Bulle Rock" tournament. The first groups are set to go off at 9:00 a.m. from Bulle Rock Golf Club.
