NEWTOWN, Pa – Baseball saw one of their first-year and sophomore players take home All-MAC Commwealth honors.
Chris Gorla was named to the second team as a catcher and third baseman
Tommy Lewman received an honorable mention.
Gorla played in 32 games with 31 starts and batted .295 in his first year with the team and led the way with four homeruns along with a team high .862 OPS amongst qualifying players. Gorla recorded 11 multi-hit games and led the team in RBIs with 27 and will look to provide big numbers once again in his sophomore season.
This season saw Lewman continue to build off a strong first year campaign batting .321 to go along with recording 13 RBIs and a pair of homeruns. Lewman has an outstanding .335 batting average in his first two seasons at Albright with 65 games under his belt.
This year saw the Lions record their most wins in a season since 2014 and the second year in a row head coach
Justin Perry has had players named to the All-Conference teams with senior
Nick Barton being recognized as an Honorable Mention in 2023.
