BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Men's golf has enjoyed a nice start to their season and today was no different. Albright took second overall amongst a strong field of 12 total teams. The Lions collective score came in at 314.
Saucon Valley was the site of the Weyhill Classic and played to a par of 71. A total of 58 golfers were in the field today.
Coach Lamm on today's round, "The depth of the Men's Team was on display at one of our Nation's Finest golf courses in Saucon Valley-Weyhill! I am Proud of our men today playing from "The Tips" playing at over 7,100 yards!"
Albright as a team has been exceptional to start the 2024 fall season. Albright has already won two tournaments and were in the mix today to win a third. The Lions team score was 314 placing them in second overall and six strokes clear of third place.
Ben Egin returned to the lineup for the Lions and did not miss a beat. Egin shot a 75 to finish in a tie for third. In the Albright Fall Invitational, Egin earned low medalist honors with a score of 71. Today, Egin played the five par fives at two under par in another great round.
Sam Elsen was in action today and was not far behind teammate Egin firing a round of 77. Elsen's round was good for a top 10 finish taking home solo sixth. In three rounds played this fall, Elsen has shot in the 70's each time.
Federico Cobos and
Oliver Liljeblad both shot rounds of 81 today for the Lions. O. Liljeblad is coming off his first collegiate win at the Daily Double tournament last time out. Cobos's first collegiate round came in at 78 at the Blazer Invitational. The duo played the par fives at a combined one under par this afternoon.
Jonatan Liljeblad rounded out the Lions in action today with a round of 86. The sophomore golfer's round marked the second of the fall season for J. Liljeblad.

Albright will return to action in a weeks' time at the Dickinson Invitational. The Lions will tee it up at Carlisle Barracks Golf Club at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, September 23.
