NEWTOWN, Pa. – Eric Chamberlain was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. Chamberlain and the Lions won both games last week beating Eastern and Alvernia.
Chamberlain dropped a career high 34 points against Eastern shooting 68% from the field. In the same game, Chamberlain added six rebounds, six assists and two steals in 31 minutes of game action.
The 34 points is the most points in a game this season for any player against another MAC member institution.
In Saturday's thrilling win over Alvernia, Chamberlain scored 19 points, collected three rebounds while adding four assists and two steals.
Chamberlain's two game stat line stands at an impressive 26.5 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 5.0 ASP and 2.0 SPG on 67.5 shooting from the floor.
Chamberlain is currently second in the MAC Commonwealth in scoring per game (16.8), fifth in assists per game (3.2) and is first per game in steals (2.4).
Albright is currently 11-7 overall and 6-2 in MAC Commonwealth play having won four of their last five. The Lions head to Hood College on Wednesday and host Messiah on Saturday.
