Men’s Golf Takes 4th at LVC Invitational; Two Lions Finish Top Five

The Albright "B" team opened the 2025 spring season on Monday afternoon. The Lions took 4th overall out of 13 teams with a solid team score of 327.

LEBANON, Pa. – Men's golf began their 2025 spring schedule on Monday afternoon competing in the LVC Invitational. The team took fourth overall out of 13 teams with a team score of 327 and claimed two of the five top five finishers in the field. Lebanon Valley hosted today's tournament at the Lebanon Country Club.

The five golfers in action today, consisting of the Lions "B" team, beat multiple other school's "A" teams. Albright finished ahead of Hood, DeSales and two Lebanon Valley teams to finish atop of the other competing MAC member institutions.

Men's golf officially started their spring 2025 season on Monday afternoon. The team enters the spring season with their highest national ranking to date. The Lions are 92nd in all of Division III and are ranked 5th regionally.

Albright is the highest rated team in the rankings in the MAC Commonwealth and Freedom Divisions. 15 spots separate Albright and 2024 MAC Commonwealth champion, York in the national rankings.

Leading the Lions to a fourth overall finish was Federico Cobos Kallman and Nontaphat Veeratecha who both finished in the top five.

Cobos Kallman came in at six over par good for a round of 78 to finish T4. The first-year Lion birdied holes one and two helping him to an even par 36 on the front nine.

Veeratecha tied with teammate Cobos Kallman with a round of 78. The duo beat out 61 other competitors in the field to earn top five. Veeratecha best stretch came on the back nine playing holes 14-18 at one under par. The first-year player birdied holes 15 and 16 during the run of strong play.

Chris DiRita nearly gave the Lions three top 10 finishers taking home a T11 finish this afternoon. DiRita tied with seven other golfers shooting an even 80. DiRita birdied the par four 17th to highlight his round.

The Lion tandem of Ethan Beidler and Oliver Liljeblad rounded out the Lions in action today shooting a 91 and 94, respectively. Beidler and Liljeblad were able to steady their rounds to assure the Lions a top five team finish.
 
Up Next:
The men's golf team will head to the two-day DeSales Invitational this weekend beginning on Friday, March 28 and concluding on Saturday, March 29. The team will play at Olde Homestead Golf Club in New Tripoli, Pa. and will begin at 10:00 a.m. on both days.
