HERSHEY, Pa.  – Nontaphat Veeratecha paced the Lions this afternoon taking home a top five finish at the Elizabethtown Invitational. As a team, Albright took fifth place with a team score of 330. A total of 11 teams competed this afternoon with host Elizabethtown winning the tournament.

RESULTS

Today's round was played at the Hershey Country Club on the East Course in Hershey Pennsylvania.

"The team showed poise this afternoon on the East Course at Hershey Country Club. Overall, we played very well and the team should be happy with the team and individual results," Said, Coach Lamm. "The greens were very difficult, but we showed great promise overall and are heading in the right direction heading into the final three weeks of the season."

Veeratecha finished inside the top five placing in fourth all by himself. Veeratecha was just one stroke off tying for the lead shooting a round of 77. The first-year Lion is now two for two placing inside the top five having done so last week in the LVC Spring Invite.

Chris DiRita finished T19 with a round of 83. DiRita played well in a strong field, faring well above average. In two events this spring, DiRita now has two top 20 finishes.

Federico Cobos Kallman was one stroke behind teammate DiRita shooting a round of 84. The score was good for T24 out of a total field of 62 golfers.

Oliver Liljeblad played in his second round of the season, improving from last time out by five strokes. Liljeblad shot an 86 in another solid round overall.

Connor Fields, who is a two-sport athlete at Albright, played in his first round of the season this afternoon. Fields rounded out the day for Albright with a round of 91.

 The Lions will play in the two-day Moselem Cup beginning on Monday, April 7. The entire tournament will be played at Moselem Spring Golf Club in Fleetwood, Pa.
