FLEETWOOD, Pa. – Men's golf "Red" and "White" teams both turned in solid team scores on the second and final day of the Moselem Cup. The "Red" team shot a 316 while the "White" team shot a 336. The second-round team score of 316 was the second lowest team score of the day. Alleghney won the tournament with a team score of 611. Today's weather was less than favorable with winds reaching gusts of up to 30mph on top of the unseasonably cold day in April in Pennsylvania.
RESULTS
The Lions "Red" team improved on their day one score by eight strokes. The improvement saw them turn in the second lowest team score in the second round. The only team to best the Lions today was Alleghney who shot a 311. All five Lions in the lineup recorded scores of 84 or better this afternoon.
In total the Lions "Red" team recorded a two-day score of 640 to finish in seventh place while the sub-varsity squad tallied a two-day score of 659 to finish in ninth place. The "White" teams' ninth place finish placed them higher than Kean, DeSales, Penn State Berks, and SUNY Oswego who all sent their varsity teams to competition.
Head coach
Eric Lamm appreciated the team's bounce back performance this afternoon. "We did not play our best yesterday, but the team did not let that effect their play today. In very tough conditions, tougher than yesterday's, the "white" team improved by eight strokes. The "Red" team played very well both days. It was great to see Nontaphat place tied for seventh and Ethan shooting his lowest collegiate round to date."
Nontaphat Veeratecha paced the 10 total Lions in action finishing T7 overall. In a field of 66 total players, Veeratecha was able to go toe to toe with some of the best players in the region. The first-year Lion played the front nine at even par including a birdie on the par five seventh hole.
Charles Bailey improved by four strokes this afternoon to climb back into the top 10 firing a round of 75 today. After the conclusion of day one, Bailey was T26 but still very well in the mix. A one over par front nine combined with no double bogeys in 18-holes propelled Bailey up the individual leaderboard.
Ethan Beidler shot his best collegiate round of his career this afternoon shooting an 86. Helping Biedler to his strong overall round given the course conditions was two birdies on holes 16 and 18. Overall, Beidler was seven strokes better today than yesterday in an impressive round for the first-year Lion.
Jonatan Liljeblad finished better than half the field with a two-day score of 160. J. Liljeblad second round score of 81 was good for a top-20 round during round two.
Sam Elsen,
Federico Cobos Kallman,
Evan Twyman all improved on their day one scores in today's second round. Elsen was six strokes better today, Cobos Kallmann was four strokes better while Twyman was seven shots better.
Cobos Kallmann and Twyman both had two birdies. Cobos Kallmann birdied holes 12 and 16, and Twyman birdied holes two and 13.

Oliver Liljeblad and
Chris DiRita all finished within four strokes of each other combining day one and day two. Egin shot an 84 in round two, O. Liljeblad an 89 and DiRita a 91. Egins's two day score of 166 saw him finish just inside the top 40 while O. Liljeblad and DiRita tied over the two days with scores of 170.
