NEWTOWN, Pa. – Martin Ramsay of the Albright men's soccer team was named Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) Commonwealth offensive Player of the Week. Ramsay scored the game winning goal in the teams 3-0 win over Penn State Berks this past weekend. The Player of Week honor is the third of Ramsay's career.

Ramsay has knack for starting the season out strong as this year was no different. Since arriving on campus in 2022 the senior forward has now scored in all four season opening games of his collegiate career.

Against Berks, Ramsay beat a defender and played a cross into the box to set up a scoring opportunity. After a failed clear from the Penn State Berks back line, the ball eventually found its way back to Ramsay who deposited the ball into the back of the net to put the Lions up 1-0.

The goal wound up being the game winner as it marked the eighth game winning goal of Ramsay's career. For his career, Ramsay now has 18 goals and 41 points with the majority of his senior season still in front of him.

The Lions will host Valley Forge on Saturday, September 6 for their home opener at 2 p.m.
