MALVERN, Pa. – Men's golf played the second and third rounds of the Swarthmore Invitational on Monday afternoon. Albright vaulted up the leaderboard jumping four spots to finish in tenth among an elite field of competition. The Lions played 36 total holes today at White Manor Country Club.
RESULTS
Through the first 18 holes played today the Lions began to work their way up the leaderboard. Albright shot a 304 which is 16 shots better than yesterday's opening round. Round three saw Albright keep up their strong play having a 308.
Coming into the day the Lions were in 14
th place. 36 holes of excellent golf saw Albright jump four spots to finish in 10
th. Dickinson won the team title with a three-round score of 872. Franklin & Marshall finished second and Tufts in third. Seven teams ranked inside the top 100 nationally were featured in the field.

Eric Lamm. "Playing 36 holes in one day is not easy especially in a talented field as this one. The team took the challenge head on and proved they can play with the best teams in the region."
Round 2
Four of the five Lions in the lineup shot scores in the 70's in round two. The Lions jumped up four spots in the teams' standings from round one to two.
Nontaphat Veeratecha shaved off six strokes from rounds one to two resulting in a round of 74 in round two. Veeratecha birdied four total holes playing holes 3-15 at two under par.
Jonatan Liljeblad matched Veeratecha with a round of 74 shaving off seven strokes from yesterday's opening round. Liljeblad birdied holes five, 10 and 17 improving his individual standings by 23 spots.
Charles Bailey shot a 76 yesterday and a 77 today in round two showing consistency in his game on a tough course. Bailey birdied the opening holes of the front and back nine and ended his round with five straight pars.
Jason DiRita shot a 79 marking his sixth round in the 70's this season. DiRita was four strokes better in round two than in round one.
Chris DiRita also improved on his round one score by five strokes in round two shooting an 80. DiRita was solid on the front nine shooting a 38 parring holes 6-9.
Round 3
Veeratecha shot his second-best round of the season in round three finishing with a 72 good for just one over par. The front nine was fantastic for Veeratecha finishing the nine holes at one under par. Veeratecha did nothing but move up the leaderboard with his strong play to end the 54 holes in T20.
Liljeblad matched his round two score with a 74 in round three. Liljeblad was steady throughout his round moving up nearly 30 spots over the course of the day to finish in T29, which bested more than the field.
C. DiRita's third and final round came in at 80. Helping C. DiRita to a solid showing was his play on the par fives playing them at even par. Bailey played five rounds in four days showing toughness on the course ending with an 82.
J. DiRita closed his time in the invitational with a round of 82. J. DiRita took advantage of the eight par threes played today concluding the eight holes at even par.
Really proud of the guys. Rebounded after a tough first day and competed among an elite.

The Lions will return to action later this week on Thursday, April 2 at the Elizabethtown Invitational. The Invitational will be held at Hershey Country Club in Hershey, Pa. Competition will get underway at 12:00 p.m.
