Despite five goals from freshman
Nicole Rohrbach, the Albright College women's lacrosse team fell in their spring break contest, 15-8 at Notre Dame of Maryland.
Another freshman,
Meghan Wilson, filled the box score for Albright with two goals, one assist, five ground balls and five draw controls.
Gabrielle Ceballos added one tally.
The Lions fell victim to an oustanding performance by Notre Dame's
Allison Terry (eight goals). She opened the scoring but Rohrbach answered to tie after 5:35, before the hosts notched six straight goals to open up a 7-1 advantage.
Albright battled back, with Rohrbach scoring twice in span of 37 seconds, and Ceballos adding one to make it 7-4 late in the half.
However, Terry struck with a killer goal 11 seconds before the break, and Notre Dame tacked on three more soon after to lead 11-4.
Molly Murray scored four times, while
Ashley Cumberland finished with two goals and two assists.
Albright (3-3) travels to King's on Saturday. Notre Dame of Maryland improves to 1-3 on the year.
