The Albright College men's soccer team couldn't hold onto a two-goal second half lead, drawing 3-3 with visiting Hood College on Saturday.

Albright got off to a great start, with two goals in the opening 10 minutes. In the seventh minute, Austin Marich whipped in a free kick from midfield. Tyler Waters chested it down and lifted a shot into the corner to open the scoring.

Less than two minutes later, a Blazers clearance went off their own defender and in for a 2-0 scoreline.

Early in the second half, Hood's Eric Diehl was saved by Austin Aldinger and Joseph Benton was there to slot home the rebound to pull the visitors within one.

Christiano Pillari floated a 66th minute free kick to the back post and Ian Jenkins knocked it in to bring the Blazers level.

Albright responded in the 79th minute however. Shawn Murphy played a pass in to Steve Bien-Aime, and the freshman turned and hit a nice finish in the lower right corner for a 3-2 lead.

Aldinger made a good save on Diehl's near-post volley late in regulation, but then a Benton rebound fell right to Pillari in the 87th minute to send the game into overtime.

The best chance of extra time came in the 101st minute, as Chris Bucks knocked a Murphy corner off the inside of the post and back out.

An early first half free kick, from Kenny Horning, had found Waters but the senior's header went over the crossbar.

In the 25th minute, Albright countered off a Hood free kick. Peter Bockarie nearly got around the left side but his contested shot skidded wide. A 42nd minute Hood free kick was flicked right into the path of Benton but Aldinger made a great save down to his left.

The Lions are 4-7-2 overall and 0-2-1 in Commonwealth play; they travel to Lycoming on Wednesday.
