Lions Drop Road Contest to Warriors, 2-0

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – In a rainy matchup on Tuesday afternoon at the UPMC Field, the Warriors of Lycoming netted two goals in the first half to secure a 2-0 win over Albright men's soccer.

Lycoming got on the board in the fifth minute of the game, as sophomore Kalu Ume found the back of the net following a corner kick.  The second Warriors goal came just 24 seconds before the first half would end, as first-year Kellen Krebs knocked the ball into the upper-left corner of the frame for a 2-0 lead.

Albright's senior goalkeeper Billy Mullen faced 20 shots from the Warriors and made five saves in the net, working with the defense to hold Lycoming in the second half.

The lone Albright shot on goal came from junior Brendan Hanratty, causing Warriors sophomore goalkeeper Zack Donoway to make the save for his fourth win of the season.

Lycoming held a 20-7 advantage in shots and 7-1 margin in shots on target.  Ume led Lycoming in shots with four and the Warriors were rewarded 15 corner kicks to Albright's two.

The Lions will host #13 Messiah on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m.
