NEWTOWN, Pa. – Albright Baseball capped off the 2025 season with six players being awarded All-Conference recognition. The Players are
Roman Berretta,
Nick Barton,
Jack Gilmer,
Christian Eckstein,
Patrick Ahearn and
Deklyn Marks.
Berretta received First Team honors and became the first Lion to do so since 2014, while Barton, Gilmer, Eckstein, Ahearn and Marks were each named Honorable Mentions.
Roman Berretta ended his senior season with a career best .382 batting average which ranked in the top 10 in the MAC Commonwealth among players with 30 or more at-bats. In the team's win over Penn State Schuylkill, Berretta recorded three of his career high 23 RBIs and came around to score following a double.
Nick Barton was named an Honorable Mention for the second time in his career following a .386 batting average over the course of 39 games, both career highs. Barton accounted for five RBIs in the team's conference series win over Hood and ends his time at Albright with a .315 batting average and a OBP of .406.
Jack Gilmer started in all 39 games for the Lions and ends his collegiate career with 138 starts over the course of 141 games played and has started every game for the Lions since 2023. Gilmer recorded a batting average over .300 (.341) for the first time in his career which included four three hit games.
Christian Eckstein received his first All-Conference recognition following a breakout sophomore season. Eckstein began the season hitting in the bottom of the lineup before being moved up and eventually running with the role of the team's leadoff hitter. In addition to a .314 batting average, Eckstein recorded three doubles, triples and stole 11 bases.
Another sophomore who received recognition was
Patrick Ahearn, who proved to be one of the most reliable pitchers for the Lions. Ahearn logged 22.2 innings of work out of the bullpen and collected four wins with an ERA of 2.38. Ahearn also earned his third career save in the team's win against Stevenson.
Deklyn Marks was named an Honorable Mention after his second season hitting over .300 and hitting his first four collegiate homeruns. Marks had a career day against Neumann which included six RBIs on four hits and two homeruns, one of which was inside the park. This game was the second six RBI performance from Marks after he picked up six in the team's opener against Penn St.-Hazleton.
This season marks the most players to receive All-Conference recognition under coach
Justin Perry including his first All-MAC Commonwealth first teamer in Berretta.
